Surfriders Ericeira, as the name suggests, is all about surfing and the pure feeling of freedom that comes with surfing and a life by the sea. We open our doors and invite you to be part of the Surfrider community while experiencing the Portuguese surf lifestyle like a local.

We are surfers of color; we grew up in the best surf spots in Portugal and know the Portuguese coast like no one else. And because surfing means everything to us, we decided to share our passion for the waves and the ocean and founded Surfriders Ericeira in 2016.

Having embarked on our own journeys, we understand the importance of feeling at home even when you are far away. We have made it our mission to ensure you experience that feeling of belonging and comfort.

We know that the holiday season is the most precious time of the year and we want you to make the most of it.

ERICEIRA - PORTUGAL

In October 2011, Ericeira was the first European surfing destination to be awarded the title of World Surfing Reserve and only the 2nd Reserve to be distinguished in the world, remaining the only one in Europe to this day.

The awards are a celebration of Ericeira's beautiful beaches, which include some of the best surf spots in the world. That's why surfers from all over the world travel to Ericeira to surf our waves.

The former fishing village has much to offer. Besides being a laid-back surf town, Ericeira is known for its blend of traditional and modern Portuguese charm. The beautiful blue and white architecture stretches across the cityscape. Its vibrant nightlife invites you to let loose and dance the night away. Local and international restaurants ensure you get the best service while enjoying fresh and healthy delicacies.
