Surfing Life Club is the first surf school in Porto, founded in 1994 under the name João Diogo Surf School. Since its inception, the school has focused on a unique program in Northern Portugal, centered on sport, entertainment, and tourism. With a diverse offering, Surfing Life Club provides regular lessons with accredited instructors; Surf Safaris; Surf Camps; lessons in schools and universities; partnerships with municipalities; events for companies; and social projects for people with disabilities. Our headquarters are in Praia de Matosinhos, but we also travel to other beaches for surfing, such as Praia de Maceda and Matosinhos, always in search of the best waves. We teach different levels of skill and offer various schedules, providing ongoing support from surf professionals to both beginners and advanced surfers. With the launch of the Pre-Competition class, we aim to train young, future professional surfers. Both our school and our coach, João Diogo, are the only ones in the North recognized for sporting merit by the Secretary of State for Sport. Innovation is now the watchword of the school. After several surfing internships in Australia, João Diogo, always aiming to contribute to the development of the sport, brought several innovations to northern surfing, such as the launch of the SURF EDUCA® program in Portugal. He also marked the beginning of the special education project for students with intellectual disabilities, in partnership with APPACDM, which currently also includes classes for autistic children and young people.
